Bio:
David Harbour (born David Harbour in New York City, NY on April 10, 1975) attended high school in Amronk, New York before going to Dartmouth College where he graduated from in 1997. He made his stage debut in The Rainmaker revival in 1999 followed by his TV debut on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2002. He continued to appear in small, but well received roles in television shows like ABC’s Pan Am and the Sherlock Holmes series Elementary, and HBO’s The Newsroom. He received a Tony nomination in 2005 for his performance in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
Best Known For:
David is best known for his performance as Chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s hit Stranger Things. He previously co-starred in films like Brokeback Mountain with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, James Bond flick Quantum of Solace, and Revolutionary Road, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
Personal Life:
David was believed to have dated actress Julia Stiles in 2012, but the couple is said to have split. In Sept. 2015, a tragically woman fell from the window of David’s apartment in New York City. He was in Toronto for the premiere of Black Mass at the time. “She was in the shelter system. I was trying to help her out,” David told New York Daily News.
