It’s no secret KISS frontman Gene Simmons is not a fan of hip-hop music. However, that hasn’t stopped his daughter Sophie from becoming a part of the genre, as it’s being reported that the 24-year-old is not only working on her own music, but has been penning songs for hip-hop artists as well.

In an interview with TMZ, the rocker’s daughter offered up a gem that is sure to have her father squirming.

“I’m writing song for everyone, which is great,” she told the camera. “I’m working on my own EP but I’ve been writing songs for people lately. I just wrote a track for Rick Ross which is hysterical.”

Sophie says her father, who told Rolling Stone earlier this year he’s looking forward to the “death of rap” and also implied that hip-hop artists like Grandmaster Flash and Run-D.M.C. shouldn’t be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, is out of touch with what draws people to hip-hop.

“He doesn’t get it, ’cause he’s just never understood hip-hop or rap,” she said. “But I grew up with it. That’s what I’ve always listened to.”
